RESEARCH INTERESTS:
She deals with processes of criminalization and racialization towards Roma and Sinti and migrants in both urban and criminal contexts, their forms of agency and self-organization, anti-oppressive approaches in social work and research. In recent years, she has been deepening the intersectional approach and the dialogue between various critical knowledge areas (Critical Criminology, Critical Romani Studies, Critical Urban Studies, Critical Social Work).

TEACHING:
She teaches “Urban Deviance and Conflicts” in the Master’s Degree Course in “Cultural Pluralism, Social Change and Migration” (FISPPA Department, University of Padua) and “Sociology of Social Services and Marginality” in the Bachelor’s Degree Course in “Education and Training Sciences” (FISPPA Department, University of Padua, Rovigo campus).
She is part of the scientific coordination group of the inter-university Master’s in “Critical Criminology and Social Security”, University of Padua and University of Bologna.

MAIN RESEARCH PROJECTS (last 15 years):
2025 Scientific coordinator (with F. Cernesi) of the project “Between methodological innovation and interdisciplinarity: an action-research project for urban conflict mediation”, funded through a competitive call from the University of Padua.
2022-24 Participation in the project “What nexus between race, class and school choice? A qualitative exploratory research in the Veneto region”, funded by the University of Padua.
2021-23 Participation in the project “International study on the effectiveness of criminal mediations: place and evolution in criminal systems”. Scientific coordinators: Mylène Jaccoud (UMontréal) and Dan Kaminski (UCLouvain).
2021-22 Participation in the project “Vulnerable populations and the right to the city in Italy and France”, PHC Galileo 2020 Call.
2019-23 Participation in the project “Punished Mothers. Women with children serving Sentences”, funded by the Cariparo Foundation (Scientific Excellence Research call 2018).
2017-21 Participation in the SciencesPo (Paris) research team for the international research project: “MARG-IN. MARGinalisation/INclusion: medium and long-term effects of foreign poverty regulation policies on target populations: the case of so-called ‘Roma’ migrants in Western European cities (France, Italy, Spain)”.
